The University of Hawai'i at Manoa School of Travel Industry Management (TIM) is
a leader in the Asia-Pacific region in the study of travel industry management.
Established as a program in 1959 and granted school status in 1966, the TIM
School is one of the most-respected programs worldwide in the study of
hospitality, tourism and transportation management. TIM pioneered the concept of
integrating many aspects of the travel industry into a single field of study
while drawing on other disciplines to create a well-rounded educational
experience. With a broad perspective on education and research, the School
strategically focuses a portion of its teaching and research on tourism
destination management and resort planning and management. The TIM School also
relies on existing strategic partnerships and continues to seek new
opportunities with other units in Hawai‘i and Asia-Pacific colleagues and
organizations.
Situated at Temasek Polytechnic’s Tourism Academy @ Sentosa, the TIM School in
Singapore is located at the state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of a
thriving tourism community – Sentosa Island!
