Undergraduate Education

The University of Hawai'i at Manoa School of Travel Industry Management (TIM) is a leader in the Asia-Pacific region in the study of travel industry management. Established as a program in 1959 and granted school status in 1966, the TIM School is one of the most-respected programs worldwide in the study of hospitality, tourism and transportation management. TIM pioneered the concept of integrating many aspects of the travel industry into a single field of study while drawing on other disciplines to create a well-rounded educational experience. With a broad perspective on education and research, the School strategically focuses a portion of its teaching and research on tourism destination management and resort planning and management. The TIM School also relies on existing strategic partnerships and continues to seek new opportunities with other units in Hawai‘i and Asia-Pacific colleagues and organizations.

Situated at Temasek Polytechnic’s Tourism Academy @ Sentosa, the TIM School in Singapore is located at the state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of a thriving tourism community – Sentosa Island!
